Dysgwch sut i arbed amser, gwella cysondeb a chael mwy allan o’ch tîm yn y gweithdy ymarferol hwn, lle byddwch chi’n dysgu technegau rheoli cynnil a sut y gall trefniadau gweithredu safonol wneud tasgau bob dydd ar y fferm yn haws eu rheoli.

Ymunwch â ni ar Fferm Sychpant gyda’r milfeddyg llaeth Dan Humphries i ddarganfod ffyrdd o symleiddio gweithdrefnau, lleihau amser gwastraff a chreu systemau sy’n helpu i gwblhau tasgau yn y ffordd iawn bob tro.

Gwella boddhad, oriau gwaith a diogelwch staff drwy ffyrdd gwell o weithio
Datblygu trefniadau gweithredu safonol ar gyfer tasgau allweddol i helpu i sicrhau cysondeb, gan hefyd arbed amser a sicrhau ansawdd llaeth a lles anifeiliaid
Cael syniadau ymarferol y gallwch eu rhoi ar waith ar unwaith ar eich fferm chi

Byddwch hefyd yn cael taith o amgylch Fferm Sychpant i weld rheoli cynnil a threfniadau gweithredu safonol ar waith, gan gynnwys ym meysydd buchod sych a magu lloi, yn ogystal â threfn parlwr godro’r fferm, a’r rheoli o ddydd i ddydd.

Byddwch yn gadael gyda syniadau ymarferol a dulliau a brofwyd, y gallwch eu haddasu i’ch busnes eich hun, i symleiddio’r gwaith rheoli o ddydd i ddydd, gwella cysondeb ar draws eich tîm, a rhyddhau mwy o amser i ganolbwyntio ar y meysydd sy’n ychwanegu’r gwerth mwyaf at eich fferm.

Join AHDB and Barbers Farmhouse Cheesemakers for an informative workshop focussing on stress-free handling , the four key lameness diseases, what your mobility records are really telling you, and the link between heifer rearing, housing, stocking rates and the cows you have.

Jo Speed, coach and CowSignals Master Trainer, together with professional hoof trimmer Steve Paul will be covering four topics that are more connected than they might appear and how to embed them across your whole team.

This workshop is an opportunity to step back, focus and invest two hours in your farm, your herd and your team — coming away with practical knowledge and fresh thinking you can use straight away.

Steve Paul is a professional foot trimmer and owner of CowsFeet, with years of experience working across dairy farms of all sizes and systems. Steve has seen over his career more cows' feet than almost anyone — which means he also sees, week in and week out, the direct consequences of how dairy cows and heifers are managed, housed and handled. His practical insight into lameness prevention, foot health and the stories that trimming records tell is the kind of knowledge that only comes from years at the sharp end.

Together Jo and Steve will share their experiences of working with cattle across a wide range of farm environments and situations — covering not just what good looks like, but how to achieve it on your farm, with your team, in the real world. John Walgate is the Chief Executive of the British Growers Association. Representing the voice of UK horticulture, he'll share insight into the challenges and opportunities facing the sector – from labour and policy to productivity and long-term sustainability.

Expect an honest, strategic perspective on what it takes to lead and represent a critical part of UK food production.

John Walgate

John is a qualified accountant by profession, with the majority of his career in senior leadership positions within the pet food manufacturing industry, supplying both branded and private label produce and all the major grocery retailers.

He was also a director for over ten years and past chairman of the UK pet food manufacturers trade body, UK Pet Food, and represented the UK on the European body.

As CEO of the British Growers Association (BGA) John leads a team of 18 employees providing professional services to most of the UK horticultural crop associations and a number of horticulture related organisations.

The BGA is a not-for-profit, member-owned organisation that has been in operation for over 50 years. It also represents the horticultural sector with various stakeholders, including government.

Through its’ network of crop associations, the BGA has links to over 1,000 growers in the UK, with a remit that is solely focused on the success of British horticulture.

As a keen ‘amateur’ allotment holder, he is proud to be an advocate for the professional growers feeding the nation.

John has also recently joined the Fresh Produce Board of Red Tractor.
