George Burrell

I am an entrant sheep farmer, running 1000 wool-shedding ewes in Northumberland on a mix of long-term and short-term leases. I also manage the Aln herd of Angus cattle and let residential and commercial properties at Broome Park Farms. Both livestock systems are based on grass, with low input and high output per hectare being a key KPI. Previously I attended Newcastle University and Harper Adams, and I farmed crops and livestock in East Africa and New Zealand. I worked as a land agent while building my ewe flock and I currently engage in some private agent work.
