Past Event - booking closed

Wednesday, 09 July 2025

4:00pm - 7:00pm

Cornhill Farm, Kehelland, Camborne, Cornwall

TR14 0DH

Join us for a pre-harvest crop walk and supper at Cornhill Farm, with host Pete Olds and Hutchinsons agronomist Andy Finnamore.

With some difficult broad-leaved weed populations, the farm has been trialling some new residual options in the wheat.

This meeting will cover

Kirsty from FMC (an agricultural sciences company) will be on hand to discuss this mode of action and its performance here over the past two years of work.

Additionally, the quest for home-produced protein from the arable rotation continues, with lupins being the focus of this seasons efforts. To address how to maximise returns from such pulses (and other crops), Syngenta will also be in attendance to present the latest data from their expanding (and evidence-based) biologicals portfolio – one of which has been tried on part of the crop area and will be available for us to see.

A hog roast supper will conclude the evening.

Please bring suitable footwear and clothing for a field walk and discussion outdoors.

BASIS and NRoSO points will be available for this event.
