Cambridge Monitor Farm Launch Meeting

You are invited to join us for the on-farm launch of the Cambridge Monitor Farm hosted by Matt Redman! 

We look forward to welcoming you on-farm for a look at the cropping for harvest 2022. Matt Redman will be hosting the farm walk and discussion around his business. 

Matt started his contracting business in 2012, took on a farm business tenancy (FBT) with Cambridgeshire County Council in 2017 and joined the AHDB Monitor Farm programme this year. Everyone attending this meeting will have an opportunity to feed into the programme at the very beginning of the Monitor Farm journey. We will be identifying key local issues and topics of interest to cover in the upcoming winter season’s meetings and workshops. 

What will this meeting cover? 

• A farm walk looking at the current crops
• Cultivation techniques 
• Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) pilot and Countryside Stewardship 
• Pea & Cereal Yield Enhancement Network (YEN) entries 
• Nitrogen input trial and response curve
