Diss Monitor Farm Summer Meeting
You are invited to join us on a farm walk at the Diss Monitor Farm summer meeting hosted by Richard Ling!
We look forward to welcoming you on-farm for a look at the cropping for harvest 2022. There will be stimulating discussions around the season so far and some big topics, including nitrogen and fuel use efficiency, farming rules for water and budgeting for harvest 2023.
We look forward to seeing you in July. This meeting is free to attend, but please register using the 'Book Now' button. BASIS and NRoSO points will be available for this on-farm meeting.
What will this meeting cover?
- How to increase nitrogen use efficiency and a look at try-outs that Richard has done with spring organic manure applications and establishing a ‘living mulch’ understorey.
- Advantages and disadvantages of intercropping with focus on combining peas with oilseed rape.
- Cereal Yield Enhancement Network (YEN) experiences and 2023 budgeting.
- Farming rules for water and best use of organic manures.
Please bring suitable footwear & clothing for a field walk.
