Harvest 2025 nears completion, but yields remain mixed across the UK: Grain market daily

Market commentary
- UK feed wheat futures (Nov-25) closed at £165.90/t yesterday, down £1.05/t from Wednesday’s close. The May-26 contract lost £0.90/t over the same period, to close at £177.30/t.
- UK wheat futures continued to track global markets lower, pressured by abundant global supply and muted demand. Chicago wheat and Paris milling wheat futures (Dec-25) declined by 0.5% and 0.3% respectively.
- Nov-25 Paris rapeseed futures ended yesterday’s session at €461.25/t, down €3.25/t from Wednesday’s close. Despite strength in the wider vegetable oil complex, European rapeseed markets remained subdued. Chicago soyabean futures (Nov-25) edged up by 0.1%, supported by end-of-day technical buying.
Harvest 2025 nears completion, but yields remain mixed across the UK
Harvest 2025 has progressed well overall and is now complete in England, apart from a few pulses. Wheat is 99.8% complete, ahead of recent years and in line with 2022. Some cereals remain to be cut in Scotland and Northern Ireland, with considerable yield variability across and within regions.
