Doreen Anderson

Doreen joined the Dairy KEM team in 2020, where she leads on the Strategic Dairy Farms Initiatives as well as engaging with Scottish stakeholders.

Doreen began her career with AHDB in 2012 as part of the Farm Economics team. She joined as a Regional Officer for Scotland which saw her visiting dairy farmers throughout Scotland, collecting their financial data as part of their involvement in the Benchmarking Discussion Groups, as well as facilitating the feedback meetings on the results. She was also involved in the Monitor Farm Programme and dairy events.  After two years she became a Knowledge Exchange Manager within the same team and in 2017 went on to lead the Farm Economics KEMs, working across all sectors to promote and encourage the use of Farmbench, AHDB’s online benchmarking tool.

Doreen lives with her partner on an Estate in the heart of Dumfries and Galloway on a beef and sheep farm so is perfectly placed for the interaction with the dairy industry in the South West of Scotland and across the rest of the country.
