This year, AHDB will be showcasing the work behind the Soil Biology and Soil Health Partnership (ahdb.org.uk/greatsoils) at Groundswell. Anne Bhogal, ADAS and John Elphinstone, Fera will be talking about the soil health scorecard, maxi cover crop research, e-DNA analysis and innovative research for the future on the main stage in the Soil Tent at 9am on Thursday 27.
Amanda Bennett and James Holmes, AHDB’s soil specialists and Harry Henderson, AHDB’s machinery specialist will be present over the two days, along with your local Knowledge Exchange Manager, Teresa Meadows to talk about the latest from the Monitor Farms and Strategic Farms.
Alongside the stand will be our popular soil pit in the Demo Field. Visit through the day or join in on the interactive workshop – 15:00-16:00 on Wednesday 26th and 11:00-12:00 on Thursday 27. Look at rooting, soil structure and soil biology in the soil pit with Anne and John. Discuss the soil sampling results from the Groundswell fields, conducted to the AHDB’s new soil health scorecard method.
