Health and safety guidelines for AHDB events

Please read this guidance before attending an AHDB event. It explains how to help keep yourself and others safe.

Please ensure that:

• You do not attend if you feel unwell
• If you need any adjustments to take part, contact the event organiser before the event
• If you book for someone else, send them this guidance before the event

Before attending an event:

• Make sure your outer clothing, boots and vehicle are clean to help protect farm biosecurity
• Make sure your boots can be disinfected
• Do not bring children under 16
• Do not bring dogs, or leave them in your vehicle
• Be prepared to move around the farm on rough or uneven ground

If there is a known disease outbreak in the area, we will contact attendees with further information.

Pregnant women are advised not to attend events on sheep farms because of the risk of infections that can pass from animals to people.

If you decide to attend, contact the event organiser before the event so that they can explain the risks and any precautions.

Please ensure that:

• You do not bring dogs, or leave them in your vehicle
• You follow any safety instructions given by the organiser or venue staff

We will monitor severe weather before and during the event. We may introduce additional safety measures, change the arrangements, postpone the event or cancel it.

We will contact attendees if the arrangements change.
