Organic milk deliveries put at 494m litres for 2021

The first full calendar year where we have organic milk deliveries data puts overall volumes at 494m litres for 2021. We don’t have a full year to compare against, but from quarter 2 onwards the comparison with 2020 showed a similar trend to overall GB milk deliveries.

Compared with last year, volumes were:

  • Up 2.3% in quarter 2 (Apr – Jun)
  • Similar in quarter 3, up just 0.5% (Jul – Sep)
  • Down 1.5% in quarter 4 (Oct – Dec)

Volumes have fallen away through November and December. With December 2021 volumes estimated to be 4.7% down on December 2020.
