On Monday 30th December, Chancellor Sajid Javid confirmed that the level of funding for direct payments to farmers will remain the same as the 2019 payment, with supplementary funding for Pillar 2 payments as well. The most recent announcements only confirms the 2020 payment level. However, the government have again reiterated their funding pledge that the current annual budget available to farmers will remain the same for every year of this parliament.
