Strategic Cereal Farm testimonial
David Blacker, host of our farm in the North, outlines the benefits of hosting a Strategic Cereal Farm.
Farming is a lifelong quest for knowledge and improvement. It sits at the intersection of chemistry, biology, technology, environmental science and economics. This makes agriculture a fascinating field for research.
If you are curious and look for research to help you understand why things turn out the way they do, then the Strategic Cereal Farm project is for you.
Whether your goals are to increase yields, reduce costs, improve soil health or try different techniques, all of these (and more) can fit into the program.
You set the research agenda and AHDB helps with the organisation and heavy lifting.
A team of renowned scientists and researchers help you set up trials, gather data and produce reports to give the answers to the questions you ask.
This is independent research that isn’t driven by sales, snake oils or outside agendas.
Start joining the dots and fill in the missing gaps in research relevant to you on your own farm.
