While there are many factors affecting net margin, crop yield remains a key driver.

The ADAS YEN programme explores all the elements that contribute to yield and helps growers striving to improve crop yields and close the gap between current yields and potential yields.

Taking analysis and results from across the UK and also Northern Europe, Sarah Kendall, ADAS, will explain the key components of yield building and how growers have impacted positively on these through different management strategies.

David Hoyles has been part of the YEN programme for several years and has taken a keen interest in designing on farm trials to produce meaningful results. He will share the characteristics of a good on-farm trial.

David Williamson is a keen YEN programme participant and he will share his agronomic strategies and results over the years.

A key part of the seminar will be the Knowledge Exchange Panel where all speakers will engage with the audience to answer questions and share knowledge to enable participants to gain knowledge relevant to their own arable businesses.
