GB deadweight cattle prices gained more ground in the week ending 23 April.

The GB all-prime average price stood at 436.3p/kg in the week ending 16 Apr, while the overall cow price stood at 353.7p/kg.

Overall beef production totalled 79,500 tonnes during March, 1% higher than a year ago.
