Join AHDB, Genus and Fosse Way Farm Vets to learn more about how to get the most from your bull choice this coming season.

We will cover

  • The use of estimated breeding values (EBVs) in beef cattle. What are they? How do they work?
  • The differences between providers and why you should be considering them whenever you’re making a bull choice – pedigree or commercial, bull or semen
  • The exciting new stuff in beef breeding. National Beef Evaluations, EnviroBeef and we’ll have a game of Bull ‘top trumps’ that is not to be missed
  • What to consider pre-breeding if you’re using physical bulls. Are they fit? Are they ready to work?

We've got some great speakers for you

  • Alex Brown, Beef Genetic Services Manager, Genus ABS
  • Harriet Bunning, Lead Animal Genetics Expert, AHDB
  • Rebecca Nelson, vet, Fosse Way Farm Vets

This will be an interactive meeting. We want you to come loaded with your questions and experiences and we’ll aim to have an informative and useful evening that gives you confidence and new ideas going into your next bull choice.

A light supper will be provided, please provide any dietary requirements on booking.
