Dorset: Autumn farm walk

In association with BGS and LIC/Cogent, Josh and Lauren Fincham, and Anne and Guy Trehane, are hosting an autumn farm walk at Hampreston Manor Farm.

Josh and Lauren are first-generation share farmers running a crossbred autumn calving herd.

This meeting will cover

• The structure of the business
• Forage utilisation
• Grazing management and herbal leys
• Management of youngstock
• Dealing with flooding events in 2024
• Dr Richard Wynne, Technical Manager at Carrs Agriculture Ltd will discuss how to take a balanced view on mineral supplementation.

The farm tour will start at 11:00am, followed by a light lunch at 1:00pm.

Booking is free but is required for catering purposes.
