Leicestershire: Beef & Lamb - Targeting your market place

Join Melton Mowbray Market and AHDB Beef & Lamb for this event focussing on current export markets and future export opportunities for beef and lamb. It will also explore butchery of beef and lamb to suit consumer preferences and talk about how levy payers can get involved in shaping the future of beef & lamb, which will be happening in April 2022 – a chance to find out where your levy is currently spent and how you can have your say on how it’s spent in the future.  

 This event will include three sessions: 

• Learn which export markets are currently open to English beef and lamb, the value they bring to the industry and where opportunities may lie for the future Jonathan Eckley, Head of Asia Pacific Livestock exports, AHDB 
• A live butchery demo, focussing on maximising carcase utilisation, why getting animals in spec matters and how to butcher the carcase into cuts that appeal to a changing consumer market Martin Eccles – Trade marketing executive, AHDB 
• In April 2022, AHDB will be giving levy payers the opportunity to have their say on the products, tools and services AHDB deliver for their sector over the next 5 years.
