Strategic Farm business event - Cumbria
Join us at our second Strategic Farm event, just down the road from our Strategic Farm, Rawfoot. The event will be a chance for Richard and Laila to update us on what’s been happening at Rawfoot since their first meeting in October 2019. They will talk about how they’re coping with the seasons’ wet conditions and the suggested changes arising from their recent meeting with consultant Marc Jones.
Pete Webster manages a flock of Swales in Windermere and is part of a seven year project, Challenge Sheep, looking at factors impacting ewe longevity. He will be updating us on the findings of the project so far and how regular body condition scoring benefits the flock.
We will also be joined by specialist sheep vet, Fiona Lovett, who will discuss liver fluke, including its life cycle, drench resistance and how you can implement or improve control plans on your farm.
