Strategic Farm launch event - Cumbria

Join us at our launch event, hosted by Richard and Laila Carruthers, Rawfoot is one of our five new Strategic Farms. The 2019 Strategic Farms Programme will focus mainly on sheep enterprises, however there is also a suckler herd at Rawfoot.

The event will be a chance to find out about the current system in place at Rawfoot including technical and business performance. We will also hear about what the family intends to change or improve, with the help of AHDB, throughout their two year involvement with the Strategic Farm Programme. We will also be joined by consultant Rhidian Jones who will be leading a discussion around ewe condition pre tupping.

• Farm walk
• Group discussion and suggestions for Rawfoot going forwards
• 1.30pm – lunch and finish

There will be three events located at Rawfoot in each year of the two year programme. To support this AHDB will be running a local discussion group for beef and sheep farmers. Discussion groups are a great way to exchange ideas and learn from likeminded farmers. This event will be an opportunity to find out more about how you can get involved.
