WEBINAR: How to assess flooded forages and standing maize

Join AHDB and Dr David Davies from Silage Solutions Ltd, for a webinar  focusing on how you should deal with flooded forages and your options available.

Flood damage to forages can be variable and in some cases forage can be saved. It’s essential to know what impact flooding has had on the nutritional value and quality of the forage before you decide whether to feed and to which groups of stock it can be fed. 

The webinar will cover:

•    Options you  have for maize still standing in the field
•    Dealing will clamp flooding – how has the hygiene and nutritional quality been  affected
•    Bale silage effected by flooding and  damage to the film – what are the risks in terms of moulds and diseases?

The webinar will last approximately 35 minutes, with time for questions at the end.
