Learn how monitor farmer Harry Sordy has been working to reduce the days to slaughter with the aim of selling all his lambs by tupping time.

There is no single factor that influences lamb growth rates, so the first stage was to highlight where opportunities may lie within the existing system to help achieve reduce days to slaughter.

• Metabolic profiling ewes pre-lambing
• Ensure ewes have sufficient feed (quality & quantity) to support lactation
