Championing British pork year-round on social media

Thursday, 5 June 2025

Over the past year, Love Pork’s social media activities have played a pivotal role in engaging and informing consumers about the benefits of choosing British pork.

Our 24/7 presence across Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube complements the wider campaign that we introduced in February: This is British pork. But not as you know it.

Throughout the year, our social media content was seen 28m times, generating 2.6m interactions through comments, shares and likes.

We remained focused on four key messaging pillars – value, versatility, health and sustainability – through both unpaid content and targeted advertising to maximise impact.

Recipe inspiration continues to drive engagement, so we introduced a new range of quick, affordable dishes tailored for modern cooking habits.

Air fryer favourites like pork empanadas and glazed gammon proved particularly popular, alongside a new roast pork series featuring recipes such as porchetta.

To broaden our reach, we partnered with a diverse group of influencers – from foodies to health and family-focused creators – for our ‘Make it with British pork mince’ initiative. These collaborations helped highlight pork mince as a lean, flavourful, cost-effective and adaptable option.

Education also remained a key priority. We teamed up with butcher Mia Tamburrini to produce our Meat Masterclass video series, giving viewers greater confidence in using a wider variety of pork cuts.

Our Meet the Farmer series also continued to grow, introducing consumers to the people behind the produce.

Stories from dedicated British pig farmers like Sam Ward and Milly Fyfe offered a closer look at the passion and care underpinning British pig farming, reinforcing consumer trust in home-grown food.

With consistent, creative and consumer-focused content, Love Pork’s social media activity remains a powerful tool in encouraging the nation to choose British pork every day of the year.

And don’t forget, you can support our marketing activity across social media by following one (or more) of our accounts and liking and sharing the content with your friends and family.
