Workshops will help farms develop a business plan
Friday, 17 May 2019
We have partnered with rural consultancy, ADAS, to run free business planning workshops for farmers and growers.
With all of the challenges facing the industry, eight practical workshops will help agricultural and horticultural businesses to source information to develop a business plan, understand terminology and use tools to gain insight into key areas such as the cost of production.
Suitable for business owners, managers or developing supervisors who are looking to increase their business knowledge, the workshops are specifically designed for those in the food production industry.
Skills Manager Amie Burke, said: “Whether you’re running an established business or starting a new enterprise, taking time out to develop a clear plan will help your business not only to grow produce but also increase profit.
“Farmers and growers are faced with challenges from so many different angles, we want to help our industry look to the future and consider where they want their business to be. Working with ADAS, we will help businesses gain insight to develop a clear strategy, set objectives and motivate workers to improve productivity towards business goals, with a plan of action.”
The business planning workshops are running in key locations from Kelso down to Exeter, starting from 23 May 2019. Places are filling up fast and can be booked advance on our events page, a waitlist will be set up should the courses become fully booked.
