Norfolk Beef & Lamb Monitor Farm launch event

David Cross from Glovers Farm, Sedgeford joins AHDB’s Farm Excellence project as the new Beef & Lamb Monitor Farm in East Anglia.

Located on a typical mixed farm in Norfolk, this 360ha family farm runs 900 breeding ewes which David is trying to integrate into his arable rotation.

The farm’s first meeting will provide the opportunity for farmers and industry to learn more about this exciting new Monitor Farm, discuss key priorities and input into future meetings.

The event will include a farm walk and discussion on topics such as:

• Livestock practices
• Sheep and pigs in arable rotations
• Grassland management strategies and trials
• Arable cropping strategies
• Integration of environmental schemes
• Farm performance

Those who attend can also sign up for a new farmer discussion group which will be set up by the Monitor Farm. Details on how you can join the group will be provided during the event.
