North Yorkshire Moors Swaledale Group: Final Year Open Day

Join us for the North Yorkshire Moors Swaledale Group meeting, hosted by Mark Graham at Hunt House Farm near Goathland. The North Yorkshire Moors Swaledale Breeders are a group of farmers who set out three years ago looking to improve the carcase traits of their Swaledale sheep flocks, develop a template for Swaledale/hill sheep performance recording and improve their hill lamb finishing systems. Please join us for the last of these open day events to hear about this exciting project and its much anticipated three-year results.

• 12pm registration and lunch
• Presentations from Signet including performance recording in the uplands – Emma Steele
• Lamb finishing and results - Kate Phillips, independent sheep consultant
• Live demonstrations including; sheep scanning, lamb butchery and live lamb selection
